📖Policy
Please follow this carefully while representing ADAT.
Troopers who are part of the Aggressive Driving Apprehension Team may be considered as a higher rank compared to standard troopers. However, all certified members of this division are still required to abide by and follow all policies and regulations put in place for everyone within the Washington State Patrol department.
In order to become a certified member of the Aggressive Driving Apprehension Team, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Attain at least the minimum rank of Trooper.
Be over the age of 13.
Demonstrate solid Law Enforcement knowledge.
Display a willingness to meet the weekly QUOTA.
Adhere to all division policies and regulations.
Trooper's who meet the requirements and successfully pass the ADAT application will become ADAT trainee's. Before these Trooper's are allowed to utilize the perks and privileges of ADAT they must complete a 45-60 minute ride-along with an ADAT Corporal+. During this ride-along ADAT trainees are expected to ask questions and observe the difference of an ADAT patrol versus a regular patrol. Once the ADAT trainee has successfully completed the ride-along, their trainee role will be removed and they'll be released for regular ADAT duties.
To ensure the Aggressive Driving Apprehension Team remains active, a weekly QUOTA/activity requirement has been implemented. Members of this division must dedicate a minimum of 2 hours; failure to do so may result in disciplinary action. Successfully meeting or exceeding this goal does not automatically guarantee a promotion for those individuals.
